This 14 day program focusing on learning the skills to become one of the most sought after positions in the world, a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor.

Preparing for the 2 day Instructor Exams the candidate will learn about the teaching philosophy & methodology of PADI, attending workshops on Academic, Pool & Open Water presentations will fully prepare the candidate for the multi-faceted Instructor Exams (IE) days honing both technical knowledge & the real world skills they’ll require after certification.

PADI IDCWhat are the prerequisites to start my PADI Instructor Development Course?

  • PADI Divemaster or leadership level with another diver training organization in good standing for at least 6 months.
  • 18 years old
  • 60 logged dives; documented experience in night diving, deep diving and underwater navigation.
  • At least 100 logged dives prior to entering the IE
  • Certified diver for six months
  • Medical clearance attesting to dive fitness signed by a physician within the previous 12 months
  • Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care course completion (or qualifying training) within the last 24 months

How long will it take to complete my PADI Instructor development Course?

The program is 14 days long not including the IE and our IDC preparation course. We also schedule days off during the program for candidates to relax. During the program there are required presentations and workshops along with the requirements to be met to successfully complete the IDC before entering the IE.
